    Hi all
Thanks guys for all your kind comments.
As for the reels. The kit provides cable for the reels in the form of thread so even though the reels are fixed the cable can be threaded through.

The big dials are povided as part of the pe kit. They are on clear sheet so to get the dials to show they will be fitted on a white background. I'll get up some photos later.
    Thanks again guys :thumb2:

      Hi all
The big dials which Jakko mentioned. Sanded the raised detail off the kit parts. Painted the areas where the film dials would fit white. Kept the white away from the edge. There are two on one side and a third on the other side.

The film is black with clear markings. There is a PE frame. You can see the three with the painted frame.

I'll cut them out and fix them right at the end.

The two carriage riders. I am no figure painter and at 1/48 scale the best I can hope for is something that will look acceptable as part of a dio.

                Hi all
Gentlemen, you are too kind. Appreciate your comments a great deal.
The 88mm is complete and fixed to it's cruciform base. Not finished the two carriages yet. Very fiddly and delicate particularly at this scale. Weathering is mostly oils. Looks rather harsh in the photos, less so in real life. I will dusty/muddy it up later.

Thanks for all your interest. I hope you are all safe from the terrible flooding which has affected so many places in the UK.

Very nicely done Jim. Plenty of detail too for such a small scale.

I haven't followed this since you fitted the gun barrel to the breech block. Just had a read through...Whew, you have been very busy. The results speak for themselves, Stunning! I agree with your thoughts on lightening the dark grey, I face this all the time in 1/87 scale so I think you will be pleased with the final shade once you have completed all the weathering. Rick H.

I echo Rick's posting. The chipping and weathering is very effective. The figures are looking good. Always difficult at this scale. Wonderful update sir.
