Just quickly this evening...... some pics.......
The Hull now in some fetching Drab, and dressed with it`s tracks!.....
Here the completed Spade,(Cheers Scottie!!)assembly.......
Next we have the gun carriage assembly, which i must say,i`m quite impressed with as it`s quite well detailed,(IMHO),and moves very freely in several directions/ways.....
And now with the BIG GUN!!......
I LOVE THIS KIT!!!:nerd::thumb2:
More soon, but that`s it for today, thanks for looking in,and all of your comments,

Cheers Dan!
Yeah,i certainly am.... I don`t think i`ve ever done a kit that`s been so satisfying with all of the articulating and interacting parts :thumb2:,
It may not be the most accurate on the planet, but,(unless you`re an expert),it`ll tick most Diorama builder`s boxes!!

OK Then Chaps.... Update Time!!:flushed:
Shouldn`t really bother as it`s VERY MUCH a "Work in progress"... HOWEVER,I do like to do my builds "Warts an` all",so here it is at the mo.....
........ All Together... All dressed in OD.....and All Decals applied........
Up close and personal,(Not to mention "Festive"!!!),at the dangerous end there!!.... the Arse end next......
Again, apologies for quality of pic,but you get the idea i hope!!.... Finally, the Side pics......
So then, that`s it in all of it`s NON GLORY at the mo:worried:!....
Not great i must admit, however,it`s all part of a plan that will become apparent when weathered up,(It`ll be part of my 3rd Vietnam Dio).
More acceptable updates should be forthcoming in the next few days!!:thumb2:
Cheers,

In the real world, the barrels were interchangeable, given one or two cranes capable of lifting them and about six hours’ work (later reduced to two by being more clever about it).Comment

That was actually the kit originally released by Italeri, and which I built soon after it came out over 30 years ago — only later did they change it to include the short 203 mm barrel that’s in the kit you are building. Unfortunately, unless you can find an old Italeri version, the only way to get an M107 now seems to be to buy the Tamiya rebox of that kit.

As i said in a reply to Paul previously,I really appreciate this kind of detailed info.... sometimes i find that i get just as intrigued by learning about a subject, than by actually modelling it!!:astonished:
