It would take up half the dining room table Junior and I use... But it would make an interesting backdrop ...

        Hi Dave
Great progress. Many parts are models in themselves.

            Your a bad man..... :smiling5:

For storage purposes, I can get two or three 1/72 vehicles in one of the plastic containers Chinese restaurants use and so they are stored out of sight, if not mind, in the utility room....I can just see my wife's face of I was ever to start building one of these...:surprised::surprised::sad::sad:

Anyway we had better end this here so as not to clog up Dave's thread.

            Apologies Dave!

            ATB.

              Another productive session.

Here are some pipes that have to be fitted on the side of the cradles after painting. Before painting I have cleaned them up and I am now checking the fit of them:

One annoying feature of many of the parts of this kit is that the pins tend to be oversize or too deep for the holes in which they are to fit. In the case of the cradles, I have found it necessary to drill out the holes:

I don't know what these things are but there are plenty of them that need fitting to the mounts. As you can see, they have been painted front and back before fitting because once they are in place it will be almost impossible to paint them:

              Here they are in position:

One problem after they had been fitted was that the walkway tabs needed trimming before they would fit:

The large walkways are now in place on the sides of the mount:

Sixteen lifting eyes need glueing to two structures like the one shown:

All eyes done and ready for painting:

              That is all for now

Glad you like it, lads. :thumb2:

I forgot to include this picture in my last post and it is starting to look the business. It is still dry-fitted as there is a lot of painting and weathering to do:

Well Chris, you did say " id love to build that big scale gun if i could afford it an had the space " !
You seem to have the space, although I doubt if you have much space or money left after your investment in the Tiger.
