Having spent quite a bit of time down in England seeing my mother, I can report that she is in good form all things considered. Now I am back home I can finally restart this build.

Supports for the edges of the loading ramps have been glued in place:

Remember these wheels? Time to do something about them otherwise they will hold up further progress on this build:

The forty pairs of wheels were primed with gloss black base:

      That is all for now

                        Thanks everybody. :thumb2:

                        More progress to report.

The inner faces of the bogie frames were sprayed with Alclad 2 Gunmetal (ALC-120):

The same was done with the frames that have already been fitted to the bogies:

The wheels were also sprayed with Alclad 2 Gunmetal:

I then started the long, long process of brush-painting the wheel rims with Humbrol H53 Gunmetal:

Finished at last. Talk about needing the patience of a saint! Luckily, I had the Tour de France coverage to keep me company:

                        That is all for now

Lots of painting yesterday when I used another two tins of H67 Matt Tank Grey!

The four Intermediate Carriers were painted top and bottom:

The eight bogies were painted top and bottom:

The eight remaining bogie frames were done:

I repainted the Loading Ramp top and bottom including the guardrails:

The cradles were given a second coat of Tank Grey and the recoil assemblies were also painted:

The four sets of arms that brace the frames were painted along with some of the ammunition handling equipment:

Here is the first of two frames that was repainted. I have left the top section clear of paint so that I can handle this beast without ruining the paintwork:

                              Both frames have been done:

The vertical hoist frames weren't forgotten:

And the two sections of the gun barrel weren't left out either:

                              That is all for now

Like the idea of those plastic containers to keep parts in Dave, much needed in this build .
