Now that I have finally dragged the Eland across the finish line, I'm back onto the G6.
I painted the diver, really pleased with the Vallejo acrylics and painted the interior of the cab.

Painted the armoured glass was eventful, 1st attempt looked like something from an Irish convention.....emerald green!
    2nd attempt was an improvement.

After some research ( staring at a bunch of old photo's for hours..?) I realised the new variant had extra vents and holes that need plugging.

The work continues incrementally, raided my motorbike detailing bits and found some bolts that are easier to apply than the Meng plastic bolt heads.

ID:	1237233 started the commander's copula, not really a fan of the clear construction that requires some delicate masking.

              Till the next update. ?

I'm back from Telford, great event, a bit of controversy about the lack of proper commercial vehicle category for trucks and the like, hopefully that get ironed out.
Finally decided to bite the bullet and start building the headlight shrouds.
My first attempt with a cardboard prototype was quite close to the mark.

ID:	1241175 I think I have finally cracked it. The 0.25mm plasticard did the trick, it did not fracture and snap during bending.

ID:	1241542 I've decided to put it on a similar base as the "Klein boet -Ou boet" build. Already have atopical photo selected.

ID:	1243971 I think it looks quite natural. Just gotta sort out the bone dome, the SADF version is simpler without the flared ears for the cans.

Wishing all a happy festive break and I'll be seeing you in the new year.?

I changed the helmet to something closer to the SADF variant which looks more like a load masters headgear.
Anyway, I am pleased with the American style dome.
