I have been working on the road wheels. The spoked ones including the idlers have been done. I have distressed the rubber tyre to show wear and tear. Also done is one of the sprockets. The first picture is a comparison of the weak detail on the kit part. Also missing from the kit part were all the bolts that held the rubber pads in place.

The pictures do show that I need to revist some of these with a bit more filler.

Those ejector marks are bad but it looks as if you've sorted them. Are those Meng nuts? you certainly need a lot!

I have some of those Liang nuts. Came across them a few weeks ago and bought some. Haven't used them yet but they look rather good.

They are good but use a sharp blade to cut them as they are quite brittle being resin.

I also added the track tensioner made from an 10BA screw. Not sure if it looks right as I think its a bit on the skinny side so may re do it and beef it up a bit.

While I'm waiting for some bits to turn up I thought I would make a start on the equipment. So I had a go detailing the water bottle and mess tins.

Finally got some paint down. Tamyia dark yellow was sprayed all over this was then followed with some dark yellow with some white and highlights added. Using Tamyia Dark Green and brown the stripes were added. When this has dried completely it will be time to start the weathering and detail painting.
