This is more or less the look I expect at the end:

And here you have the "raw material":

First step: building the front shaft:

Once the front shaft is done, I mount it in the suspension bars:

Then I complete the chassis with the transmission gears, exhaust...

Then, it's time to attach the suspension system to the chassis, first the rear part:

    And then the front:

Watching this. What a difference the painting of the individual items on the pack made.

Just caught onto this and athough I'm not really a modern AFV builder this looks very good so far. The internal equip is painted very well, indeed

I'll tag along for the journey in this.

            Regards

                Let's continue folks!

I've started the painting and ageing process. First, primer:

                Then, a desert yellow tone:

I highlighted the edges and bolts and I also used a brown wash for shadowing:

Afterwards I painted other details from the chassis and the tires:

Some more brown tips to imitate some chipping:

                and brown oils for rust:

                Done with the chassis painting!

Now, I'll go for some ageing and dust, and for that I used putty, paint and nail polish remover (acetone)

I mixed everything to get a dark coloured liquid putty:

And then I sprayed the mix all over the chassis with an old toothbrush:

This is the result, some nice mud spatters:

But it still doesn't look like mud, so that's why I used some pigments:

After some layers, once the thinner is dry, this is how it looked:

I used some oil paints in the joints to imitate the grease in the suspensions:

Oh! Don't think I forgot the tires:

So after all, it really looks like it just came out of the desert:

                  Hope you liked it!

                  Regards!

Thank you all for the comments!

I have continued with the interior of the vehicle:

First the usual layer of primer:

To show further chipping effects, I used a little bit of liquid mask:

Then I sprayed the desert yellow all over the piece:

                              I also painted the dashboard:

Once the paint is dry, I have used a toothpick to remove the liquid mask, showing the primer layer:

Then I used some washes to add depth:

Then I painted the bags on the back of the seat:

And weathered it heavily with pigments (remember they have removed the doors)

I had to place the radio and the computer.

I add a coiled wire to the radio as I have seen it in some pictures:

Then I painted the radio set:

Since the computer screen looked a little bit weird painted black, I painted the windows logo to make it look better:

With a drop of glossy varnish it looks great:

And then I placed the radio in place:

                                For now that's all

                                Hope you liked it!
