    Italeri 1/35 Land Rover 109

    Hi All,

I will be building the Italeri 1/35 Landrover 109. I started work on this last week, and was not able to post pictures till now.

    Build Plan
I will build this into a civilian version, with my own custom paint job. As there are so many variations of this vehicle, I think a customized landrover is not a very far fetched idea. The kit will be built OOB.

    Kit Detail (from www.scalmates.com)

Title: Land Rover 109' LWB Australian Forces Insignias
    Number: 6508
    Scale: 1:35
    Type: Full kit
Includes: Plastic sprues, Waterslide decals, Clear parts
Released: 2013 | Rebox- Based on Italeri kit 321 from 1990's

    Box Art:

    Box Contents:

A symbol of Made in England!

    Build
I started this build last week. Here are the build pictures

Chasis and body built, painted Tamiya Enamel X-13 Metallic Blue

Some marks on the side door needed to be fixed, so these are being filled in using Tamiya Basic putty.

I hope you all liked the post. I will be posting more pictures up soon.

    As always all comments welcome.

Oh!!!! You have all my attention!!!!

I love the blue colour that you choices. I recommend, once painted, to add some white oil drops to recreate the habitual sun blanched effect on those farm vehicles.

Thanks Polux mate, I completed the vehicle before I saw your reply, so it is done now. I have kept it as clean as I can, as this is the look I was going for.

Here is the next and final build update. This kit was finished quickly. I might have rushed it a tad, as I did damage the doors a bit. It looks like the doors were dented.

      Here are the updates

Tyres painted using Tamiya XF 85 Rubber Black Enamel

Hood painted Tamiya XF 49 Khaki Drab enamel

Details added to the interior including seats steering, dials, and gears

Tyre rims painted and glass added to the window, some more details like frond headlights added and also decals. Side mirrors also finished.
The kit is now complete, and here are the near final photos

I will have more photos and a video in the Completed Armour Vehicles section soon.

      As always all comments welcome.
