After completing the GMC cckw Dump truck thought I would go ahead and start on this build I’ve been wanting to do for a while. It’s a 1/48 Tamiya GMC cckw soft top with a tanker body a Don Mills converter dolly and a old Revell Fruehauf tanker trailer

Here’s some update pics still lots of clean up work and filling and sanding. I took about a 1/2in out I used tape for a straight line when I cut it in half this should bring the tank down from a 6000 to a 4000 gallon I hope. I think I’m going to stick with this type of tanker instead of the one in the picture I like it better.Attached Files- 127C5008-8CFD-461D-8CAC-355843589219.jpeg (3.0 KB, 3 views)

I got the converter dolly and wheels from Don Mills. I’m not happy with the wheels at all very chunky and shallow detail I will be changing theseAttached FilesComment

Totally missed this one. Looks like you are beating it into submission. Hopefully the new set of wheels will do the job for you

Cutting it down was bitter sweet. I told PaulE about this maybe he will bring the jellyComment

Grape is fine it’s for Steve. Well Paul I’m going to try it figured just putting around the airfield filling bombers up it probably could handle it if I tell them not to fill to the brim.Comment

Hi Lee
Sorry I'm late in. Simply just missed it  A lot going on and I still can't get my head around all the forum sections.
Anyway this is a great idea. Well thought out too. I'm with John with cutting a chunk out of the trailer - can't see the join.
