Thats a wonderful update Jim. The furniture and interior work has come out well. Damm that Dingo is small. Great stuff mate:thumb2:

      Hi all
Scottie, Fernando and Steve - thanks for the kind comments. Sorry for taking so long to acknowledge you posts.
So time for an update. Loads of fiddly, time consuming stuff - quite fun though.
The Dingo is almost complete. A bit more weathering and wheels to fit. I won't do any chipping 'cause I can't see how to keep it in scale considering the whole thing is only about 3cm long.

The truck cab interior is done. No clear parts in the kit so windscreen had to be made.

Monty's caravan interior completed. Very fiddly and I doubt much will be seen but I am sure all of you have built and painted wonderful, hidden things - seems to be something we do!!:tongue-out3:

I am sure a far better job could be done especially if the scale was bigger but it's better than just the kit provided map bench.
      Thanks for all your support.
      Jim

You could leave the caravan roof loose, so all that nice interior can still be on show.

          Jim.
That is brilliant, great work on the internals. Don't think it could be bettered really. Everything looks right.
Have to agreewith Jakko, you have to leave that roof removable. Too good to seal up.
          John.

This classic slipped under the radar for me Jim, noticed the blip on the screen and decided to check it out. It was worth it. Good idea by Jakko to leave the roof loose. ..can't hide all those goodies you've done for the interior.

              Cheers,
              Richard

Hi Jakko, John, Simon and Richard
Thanks for your comments - appreciated :thumb2:
I have just done a dry fit of the caravan roof and the fit is good so I will take the advice and leave it unglued.

Hi Jim, I'm really well impressed here. That scratchbuilt and weathered interior look very good. Well done!

                    Cheers

Looking excellent Jim, particularly like the low wooden table and hand basin...some nice wood grain and the basin has a realistic shiny porcelain look....well done:thumb2:

Very nice interior design. Very 1940's Selfridges.

The Dingo is finished. It is only 3cm long so the detail is simplified but hopefully it will be OK as part of a dio.

Monty's caravan is just about built - three main sections. Cab, chassis and caravan. Masking off the interiors of the caravan and the cab will be awkward but Tamiya tape, bits of sponge, bits of card and some Blu-tac and some choice language and it will get done :tongue-out3:

In Dave's beautiful French Infantry vignette there was a discussion about photographing models. Jakko mentioned that he had the same photo booth as I have but had fitted a third light above the booth. I bought a cheap light fitting and did just that. I think it has improved the photos. Thanks Jakko :thumb2:

Nice update and the Dingo looks good. Masking will be a pain in the bum I reckon but nothing you can't handle no doubt Looking forward to the next installment of "Jim does Monty's caravan"

                                Cheers
