Andy,
This is the sort of old kit I love a blank canvas to tweak. Bit of as bummer about the chassis how are you going to repair this?

Chassis is glued back together, when the body goes on this should reinforce it, hopefully!

Andy .
At this point I normally set fire to it ! when things just don't fit.

Hi all, sorry not been around for a bit. Gave the model a light dusting and started to put together. The chassis does not fit the nodes on the base, so have lined it central as best fit. Moving a long slowly then...

Hi Andy
Missed the start of this - sorry.
Looks to be quite a challenge although your progress to date seems to have solved the problems. Interesting to see the finished model. There is a strange kind of satisfaction in making something decent from such an unpromising starting point.

Andy...looks fine. Jim's right, when it's done you'll get that strange kind of satisfaction of having won a battle and you'll be looking for the next challenging kit.

Cheers,
Richard

It's always fun beating a bad kit into something a lot better and you are doing this.

I have built the dodge beep that was a peerless max kit. It was old but not too bad.
