Looks very nice Scottie. I agree that the cooks would probably have tried to keep the thing as clean as possible, although probably wouldn't have been that clean themselves - you could have fun there!

Thanks Peter, when I get round to painting them I don't think the aprons will look very white.Comment

Blimey. You have been busy mate. The building is awesome. Lovin the guttering work. As far as the kitchen goes I would like to swear but I shall hold back and just say its really damn good. One of the best models I have seen for a while. Well done mateComment

I have been building the European cart from MB. Not a very good kit, very soft grey plastic with lots of flash and alignment pins at least twice the size of the holes. Still I always enjoy a challenge and got it all together. Construction was quite slow as I had to scratch wood grain into all the parts except the metal fixings. The harnesses had the moulded eyes replaced with wire ones.
The whole lot then received a coat of Tamyia buff. When this had dried I worked in some burnt umber oils. I must admit I am quite happy with the result. When this has fully dried I will paint in the detail and metalwork.
I just noticed I have glued something on upside down so off to sort it.
Comments always welcome

Thanks Jim, glad you like the wood grain I am quite pleased with it. Having eaten field prepared food I have seen some of the miss adventures during prep and cooking but we still ate it :smiling3:Comment

The worst one was beans and petrol where the cook tried to fill up the burner when the food was next to it. Now that was bad but we were cold wet and hungry lol.Comment

I'm quite happy with the cart. The metal work had been picked out with black grey mixed with a little oily steel. When this was dry the bolt heads where picked out with the same mix but lightened a little with some light flesh. When it had dried a wash was added to pick out the details then finally a bit of dry rust pigment was added.
When the oils have fully dried it will receive a coat of matt clear to remove the shine.
Next I will be working on the lean to on the side of the house.
cheers
