1-87 Scale Mercedes Benz Lo 2750 Mobelwagen (moving Van)

This truck Is something I have seen posted in wartime photos on the I-net. Conscripted by the Wehrmacht they served throughout the war. Using a couple of left over trailers from another kit I removed the tarp covered cargo bed and used the enclosed trailer van body to make a van body for the truck. here is my progress so far.Click image for larger version

A cracking conversion Rick. It's easy to forget how small these models are. Lovely work all round

Thanks Steve, I hope to get the remaining bits of detail done soon. Still waiting for taillight lenses to arrive from California. Those will be installed after the wet stuff so still plenty to do.
      Cheers, Rick H.

Yes, they were a bit odd in a combat situation. I have seen photos of this type of vehicle in caravans travelling by road in eastern Europe. Thanks for dropping by Peter.

Thanks JR. I'll be posting up some more pics. when the paint dries. The Wehrmacht was always in short supply of trucks and trailers to move men and material. This shortage forced them to conscript vehicles wherever they could lay hands on them. Consequently, they ended up providing me with sooooooooo many modeling opportunities, it is mind boggling! Rick H.
