Well the Red Cross decals still have not arrived. However, I found some Areal Rec. Flags in the stash and thought I would try one on the hood. I cut and laid down wet tissue (same size as flag) soaked with Elmer's glue, hit it with a hair dryer then gloss coated over the top of that. I was hoping to give it a little texture. Won't know on this until I final weather and dull coat it. Fingers crossed. Rick H.Click image for larger version

Areal Recognition Lee, so their own aircraft wouldn't shoot at them. These were normally tied down to the hood or fenders so they wouldn't blow off during movement. Thanks for dropping by Lee, It's been awhile. Rick H.:thumb2:

Thanks Steve, I bought the decals off evilbay and I think they are coming from Germany. Supposed to be here no later than the 3rd of April but it has already been eight days. I thing they must be walking them over the North Pole! LOL:sad: I still have a few things to keep me busy though. Rick H.

The decals finally arrived and I spent most of yesterday applying them. I'll topcoat them with dull coat when they are good and set. and then final weathering to follow after the last bits of detail are added. Rick H.Click image for larger version

Rick. Very nice still like how the flag drapes over the hood and thanks for the information on why

Thanks Lee, If you look real close you can see I made some corner tiedowns for the flag so it won't blow away!!:rolling:
Thanks again for dropping by. Rick H.

Rick. I see that and I also like the roof Mtd. spare tire that gives me a idea for a 1/72 scale Opel Biltz some day great clean and tidy build my friend

I have much photo evidence of Blitz roof mounted storage, was also used on Maultiers as well.
Thanks again for the comment and stopping by.

Glad to see the decals arrived. Certainly made a wonderful difference. The weathering has certainly given it a realistic look. Enjoyed watching this one come together Rick. Thanks for sharing
