Super craprack! I've never attempted one, but often thought to. Never had the patience to do track blocks. Props. They look great & enhance the model a lot. PaulE

Funny how life is, my Missus is always telling me "why don't you relax and work on your models and stop bothering about everything"
Easy for her to say, who's supposed to fuss and pester everyone within ear reach!?.....that would be me!
Someone's got to whip this place up every now and then.

Hi Paul, The "craprack" is my second iteration, they get easier as you go, just have to jump in and get your feet wet. Track blocks are way easier than they look, but if you are doing a lot of models at once I suspect that it would go faster as you gain momentum. It helps if you have a chopper, as each track assy. requires approx. 60 links and another 60 blocks on top of that. BTW, this set is my third iteration on trying to improve the rubber band abortion that Roco has presented to us. I'll post the other two when I get to the end of this project. Rick H.

Thank You Mr. T. I have kept in mind your previous comments about the poor quality of these models and their track assemblies in particular. I'm hoping for a "silk purse out of a sow's ear". Rick H.

Small update, didn't get much done......other obligations got in the way. In the past I just glued a complete wheel and tire assembly on the back to represent a spare. However, these being a two piece wheel, the spares were typically carried without the center in place. Looks a little more convincing this way. Rick H.Click image for larger version

Time for some paint, I'll give it a couple days to dry.......been damp and rainy here. It was fun to build, now its time to breathe some life into this discarded form..........Igor, connect the power cables to the electrodes:tongue-out3:Click image for larger version

Great job. Made me recount my 7s. Unfortunately my count was correct. I think the spare tire on the sdkfz 7 was behind a rear third door below the two upper doors that opened for access to the rear storage compartment. The sdkfz 6 however did have the spares mounted as shown. Your model & field expedience certainly makes this config. possible. Just a random thought before first cuppa. PaulE
