    Tamiya 'FAMO'

Great kit, straight forward build so far, typical Tamiya quality moldings, very clean, no flash.

Hi Jim, never built one of these in any scale..........got one in the stash (resin kit ugh!) with the SdAh. 116 tank trailer......oh, also have the Nuts & Bolts series on these if you need any help with tech. or photos of details just holler. :thumb2: I'll sit with the rest of the "rabble" when the show up.

Looks interesting, like Rick H, I haven't done one of these, but have done some of the 'half track family' in 1/72.
I'll creep in and try to sit quietly if you don't mind - for some reason, I prefer half tracks to tanks.

I have a couple of these, including the transporter, and the other with the spade attachment. They are good kits with an amazing potential for super detailing, beyond my septugenarian digits and optics unfortunately! I wish aftermarket companies would produce canvas (both stowed and erected) - I can make them but it's such a pain in the posterior orifice! The resin wheels for the transporter were a welcome addition as I don't trust 'rubber' tyres - there are some good aftermarket add-ons but I have to say Part 2 of the Aber brass caused more food for the carpet monster than I care to remember and gave me far too many cramps in my left hand! Ah, tempis fugit!

          Hi Jim
I do like these big halftracks. Looking froward to another masterpiece in your own inimitable "Grumpa style". Looks as if you're well on already.

              Ooh..... Famo.....

I've got one waiting in the wings for when I get brave and a little more competent.

              Watching with interest :thumb2:

                    UPDATE:

OK, decided this will be a "Jim's scrap yard build".
As we filter through the vast WW2 vehicle graveyard of my mind we shall search out
the parts and components needed to try to put on of these babies together.

Should be fun and a different way of doing things, we'll see how it goes.
Warning; some components may be a bit battered and rusted up a bit, but I am going for the "Rat Rod" look.
It means a lot of weathering and a bit of banging up, but what the heck, time is never a issue with me anyway.

                    Thanks for looking in,

Thanks guys, glad you like so far, I also have to get some updates on my Dragon Wagon project rolling down the pike.
Trying to get back in the groove a bit after beating back covid, and with spring comes a whole new world of work to get done.
With my reduced schedule though, (Mamma's orders) I'll be able to put some time in at the bench.

Thanks as always for your attention and kind comments.

                            Jim.
