As with all my large trucks I replace the kit wheels with the Herpa "Trilex" wheels with Continental tires to make it a little more accurate. The molded in exhaust was replaced and clearance markers installed as on the original truck......the molded in toylike tow hook was also replaced. Rick H.Click image for larger version

Scratched up a couple of storage boxes added a fuel filler "neck" stuck on front and rear number plates and added a tail light as well as opening up the headlight buckets for light lenses. The small discs on the clearance marker masts are the driver's mirrors.....I punched these out of foil. Once I get a wiper installed it should be ready for some paint.Click image for larger version

Thanks......this one is getting the works. I'm hoping I can make it look used pretty hard. Still waiting on some trailers I have on back order....otherwise I'll be building one of those next from the leftovers.

Hi Jim, glad you like her......yeah, I'm gonna turn her into a tough old gal and play dirty with her........I'm still thinking about leaving the tarp off and just have a load in the bed maybe with a partial tissue paper tarp.......jury's still out on that one.

Love the way you cut these up and from a toy to produce a great model Rick .
Looking fwd to seeing it " battle weary "

Thanks JR.....I wish the price you pay for these was a Toy price. Sometimes I have to cut up three vehicles just to get the parts needed for one.....can run as high as $60.00 USD but that's the price you pay to make this stuff happen. It can be rather challenging at times, but I wouldn't do it if it wasn't so Darn much FUN! :thumb2: Rick H.
