I saw this at a very good price and I thought, why not?

Small PE sheet and decals.

Clear parts, tyres and partially built chassis.

The reason it was keenly priced is that it had been started but I took the chance anyway. Only the lower chassis had been built and it looked OK in pictures but in reality there was a wee problem in that only 3 wheels were touching the ground. Nothing that a splash of TET and bit of pulling and twisting fixed.

A bit more work done to this, quite a lot involved in constructing the mast and fork mountings plus fitting/masking windows, how I wish all model companies would make the windows fit from the outside as it makes life so much easier.

Once I have the twin cabs put together I can get on with primer and then decide which colour scheme to use, the colour call outs show an olive drab and what looks like grey to me but the Mig paint for that one are listed as white?? we shall see.

Slowly getting on with the build and starting to assemble things.



I still have to fix the solder wire hydraulic pipes, fit the completed cabs and other bodywork then decide on the colour scheme. The observant will notice the left hand tilt ram is slightly different from the other as I seem to have lost one somewhere, so I made one up from bits out of the spares box but with a bit of paint it will never be noticed on the finished article, says he!

You are quite correct John although I made it worse for myself by making up hydraulic piping as there is no provision in the kit for this.

This model has been a bit slow as I have been out on the bike a lot and helping a mate with a domestic project.
The colour did not turn out as I would have liked, but it will do for me.



I think I may have overdone it with the scuffs and chipping but if I throw enough dirt at it it will be fine, still have to paint the lift chains and hydraulic piping, best get a move on before I loose interest altogether.

Got this back out from a corner of the bench before I forgot all about it. Lost interest in it but I started so I will finish it.


All the wheels touch the ground so that's good.

Optional blade fitted to see how it looks, I don't like it so it will be headed to the spares box.

Still a few things to fit yet, mirrors, headlamp guards, opening cab rear window, spare wheel and some other bits before it's done. I am not too keen on this model as it was not as interesting as I thought it would be so it may yet end up in the bin.
