Update,
Well that is that over with for another year..... What do you do with two tins of Quality Street, a tin of Roses, a packet of Roses, a box of Maltesers, two Xmas chocolate Santa's, a chocolate cake that serves 12 - but there is only two of us, and now she tells me she is starting a diet on Monday.....
Got the fan assembled and ready for priming..
And then got the two fire extinguishers finished, primes and the main top coat on each...
More later.
Cheers

I remember the MCTG (crewed by displaced persons (?)) in Munster, and the mighty Antar of course, loved them! You're making a great job of this mate!

Many thanks for all the kind comments - still working my way through the sweetie tins, two more to go and wilting....
The cab has been painted with the top coat as have the doors and bonnet/hood sections. Masking was carried out with Tamiya tape and my trusty disc cutter (leather punch)...
What looks like finger prints on the top of the cab are just from dust when handling the cab once it was dry.
The headlights and fire extinguishers are now in place, the grill is there for show and will be permanent once the cab has been fitted...
And that is it for today.
A word for John in the shop - thankyou for a fast service.
Happy New Year to you all.

Update,
The cab has had a wash of black oil and then a dry brush of the top coat to bring out the highlights - but with Green on Black there is not much chance....
The cab is only dry fitted, I want to add all the light lens first and it is easier to handle.
So why paint and wash were drying off I turned to the trailer. So far the susspension bogies are fitted and without too much of a fight. But the landing legs have made up for that....
The arm for the flat plate is supposed to go over the arm on the right and the left small locator is supposed to fit between the middle two securing brackets. I now have to file down and to reshape these to allow the holes to line up - but that is for tomorrow.
More later,
Cheers
