      Assembly started with wheels.
The kit gives you two options of front wheels and I liked the look of the layer type.

The sprockets are also multiple part with some great engineering and detail.

I admit I ditched the instructions at some point and built some of the sub assemblies up starting with engine/gearbox.

Gradually added more of the interior parts.
There was some butchering careful adjusting needed for seat placement (see second picture) as the passengers side fouled on drive shaft parts….no big issue.

At this point fenders and wheel arches went on.
A bit fiddly requiring plenty of dry fit before committing to glue.

We then move on to tracks. Lovely engineering on these and being Dragons ‘magic’ type they are all snipped and bagged ready for assembly.

Used Revell contacta glue for its viscosity as the pad placement holds the links together and you need to be careful or the tracks won’t articulate Click image for larger version

Getting close to to completion so the small fiddly bits go on. There is a small amount of photoetch dotted about at this point.

The eagle eyed among you would of spotted the Sd-kfz 10 came with a 5cm Pak 38 but I had the 10.5cm leFh 18/40 in the stash and wanted to use that instead.

It seems I forgot to take more pictures of the assembly :upside:

It was a pretty simple build but Dragons instructions threw up a couple of curve balls. Found a decent walk around which helped assembly.

There are still the windscreen and a couple of little parts to add…but here’s how it looks unpainted.

So that’s where I’m currently up to. Next up will be the weathering once I've added the last of fiddly bits….

Certainly a lot of plastic there Si. Seem to have build up nicely. Lots of nice detail. I like the idea of changing up to "the big gun". Look forward to the weathering.

They do have one small problem that nearly all of these kit drive sprockets suffer from, though: the flats are in the wrong place relative to the rollers Most kits mould them with the centre of the flat aligned with the roller, like here, when they should stick out further towards the rear than to the front. (Which makes it look like the roller is offset relative to the flat, but it’s the other way around.)

However, this is one of those details you only notice when you know it, so most people won’t spot it at all.
