Tamiya Kublewagen

Well i thought it was about time i started to venture over to the dark side and have a go at some military modelling.

I love the Kublewagen as a subject and after a good look around found this nice Tamiya kit.

Started it over the weekend and its going together rather nice. It will be totally brush painted, the bulk of which will be Tamiya acrylic dark yellow. I did find watering the dark yellow down and applying more coats better that applying just a couple of neat coats.

Started to use some Mig pigment dust inside the cab on the floor and im again rather pleased with the effect so far.

Anyway, here are the pics so far........

Nice, i have a soft spot for the Kublewagen. But, i wouldn't call it the "Dark Side". More like the "Muddy Side" of modelling, trust me, you'll know what i mean when you make a mistake and get glue all over where you don't need it. You just cover it with mud and say it's done.

As Tony said, keep the pics coming.

      Have fun, John

It looks a much more detailed kit than the Italeri which I had. Should be a good one Martin.

Thanks for all the comments guys......at the end of the build i will use the Kublewagen on a dio which will be another first for me !!!!!!! Will keep it simple to start with as it will be the first ever dio, not sure what it will be but will cross that one when i come to it.
