My best wishes for this one John!!!

It's a very important model for me.... my favorite, the first after the big 'pause' and the model that opens me the doors of this forum

    I WILL BE WATCHING YOU....

PS: I don't remember an exactly trick for this one....., just I painted with the pink color of Tamiya, but I mix with a little sand color.

I'ts difficult to find the perfect color for this Pinkie.

Ahhh...just play with the dust and have fun

You have another Pinkie on this same forum (military vehicles), and mine is on the dioramas threads (some place in the desert...) if you need to do just a look.

    Good luck John.

      I'm agree Si.

This color with the dust turns onto the best color camouflage in the desert.

From here comes the name Pink Panther, or called for the soldiers as a Pinkie too...

      Cheers

Yep, 'pinkie' as you say was the name given by the guys. You know they even painted the tyre pink too on many of the Landy's so that there wasn't two black ovals travelling through the sand.

Well made a slow start on this one, i'm on night shift so took it to work to play with.

Ok where do i start, cut out the blanking plates on the chassie as i intend to put an engine in this one.

I also had to cut out the base of the engine bay.

There were two stumps where the axels fit to the chassie this to has been removed so the axels suspend as they should do.

Well that was it for last night, tonight i will do the same to the frount axel then start on the frount/rear diff skid pans, also there are no filling pluge on the diff's so i will put them on.

Well i think thats about it.

Enjoy & have fun (i know i am).

                  John

Hi Polux sorry but i do not understand your question (VERY HIGH THE STRIP).

                              Or is it just me.

                                Ohh, sorry John!

I'm not sure if here in England you use this 'comment'.

The meaning is easy; the level of this model is very high, so the people who wants to build someday, well...we will have to 'work hard' to imitate it.

                                That's the idea!
