A great Idea. I wish them luck!

I've spent the last few days building the last tank my Grandson entrusted me to build for him whilst he's at Uni.
I needed a break from it, so I decided to go and have a pint in 'The Clacker', and to see who was around.....

As I strolled along the harbour, past the tug, LuckyXI, I was hailed from the Chippy doorway.

"Hey, Mr. Ron, it am greeat to see you agin'" It was my old mate Meekan.

"Hello Meekan, is Idu still around?

"Yeah man, he am still wid dee oold boot too - Boat ob dem! Where you goin"?

I informed him I was off to the 'Clacker' for a beer.

"Man, aal you spooks seeam to waant to do is com doun here, drink beear and den heet eech udder!"

    I agreed.

"Me an' Idu agreead dat de peeople nead som riddum to donce to, so come an' see wot we am bilt.

He led me to a yard behind the chippy.

"Here you go, Mr. Ron. De forst two man, one man bond in de wold, an' it am deesel drivved!"

"We am puttin' it outside de chippy, den you spooks can dance aal nite an' not be 'ittin udder peepol.

I agreed it was a great idea. I also declined his offer of a fish in his special batter. I didn't want another night in the slammer!

Here are a few pictures of their diesel powered 'Two man, one man band.'

Hhhmmmm. Not sure that would be playing the kind of music I like. P'raps I'll pay a visit and have a listen while I have a pint.

Dave, the lads told me it'll play any kind of music you want. - Just press the right pedal and turn the appropriate wheel!

See you in The Clacker.... :upside:

            Hi Ron
You're mad. Just what we all need at this time. I hope the lads have patented the design. Could be a winner and turn them into millionaires.
            Stay safe.

You need to have had a taste of the special batter to fully appreciate the nuanced linguistics behind the description of this amazing instrument. PaulE

Even I've got sense enough not to ask Jason and the lads to do the stick & bucket dance! Mind you, if Ron's Zulus got a bit out of hand ....

Thanks to the few who joined in the spirit of this bit of nonsense, and for the highly amusing posts.

If it brought a bit of a smile onto some folks faces then my initial idea was worth pursuing.

As an aside, that's an awful lot of stuff to basically just turn the tank turret!

Time to get back to the tank build.....

                              Cheers.
