Lee Drennen’s Ertl 1/16 International 706 Custom Tractor.

This Ertl Tractor has been around for a long time thought I would restore this one as a 706 it’s a pretty generic casting Tractor but it’s one of my favorites that Ertl made

I bought this tractor off of Sleezbay it was in pretty bad shape some parts of the casting were bent I straightened them the best I could stripped it and re-painted it Applied the decals I got from Bossen implements. Started this Sunday finished it this Evening.

      Hi Lee
That's some transformation. Good that you can buy decals for this sort of thing.

Thanks for the complement Chris I like that old International Harvester myself. I drill the rivets out of the axles then put the Wheels/Tires in a plastic bowl and heat in the Microwave for 2 minutes and they come right off. To put them back on I just heat the tires up.

Jim. Thanks for stopping by and the complement. I was a little nervous about straightening up some of the casting it was pretty bad. We in the Toy Farm World have a great source of Decal suppliers. I’ve been using one since 1996 her name is Kate and she is such a wonderful person.

Andrew. Thanks for the complement I was pretty surprised myself after the paint dried and the wheels turned out the way they did. One of the Front wheels was cracked I didn’t think it was fixable but it worked. Thanks for stopping by.
