Lee Drennen’s 1/16 Ertl International 656 Toy Tractor Restoration

I thought I would give this old Ertl International tractor a rear wheel swap and some upgrades. This one I’ll be making it a 656. I’ll be adding a Stack, Fenders( undecided what kind clam shell or square) and maybe a 3 point hitch and I might repaint it but the pain is still pretty good honestly I may just touch it up. I removed the tires and painted the rims with a International Harvester paint. Click image for larger version

Lee, that looks like a close match to the tractor color....why not leave the scarred paint and make the old girl look like she's been earning a living! Rick H.

I done a mock up the other day to see how the clam shell feeders are going to look.I also applied the the model number decals. Think I’ll go with these type of fenders. Now I need to get a stack and other details on. Click image for larger version

                Hi Lee
Great idea. Looking good. A question please - "Why do tractors in America have those very narrow track front wheels?" I have seen front wheels like that often on American tractors but never on UK tractors.
