    Ostwind crew - opinions please!

Although the photo isn't that good, I was hoping for a little feedback on how these figures are looking  :S

Damn those Germans for having black uniforms!

    TIA

Look pretty damned good from here Patrick. Bit of shadow wash and they'll be spot on! I left the faces on my SU76 plain flesh, and let the wash and natural shadow do the rest, works for me

They look rather good Patrick, as John points out a wash or so should finish them.

If I'm not very much mistaken these look like Dragon 'Achtung Jabo' figures. And very nicely painted too.

              They look terrific Patrick

              Cheers

Thanks for the input guys, they can be keepers rather than binners!

And Paul is correct - Achtung Jabo they are!

Thanks Tony! Maybe they're a green crew who've lost their heads in panic?  :P

very good work so far on them Patrick,do real like your color,

and can pickup the highs and lows,

what color did you use ? as I do my in a blue/black,then high lite with a true black wash, that picks up all the detail, but helps with good figures to start with, O.o

Thanks Monica! I've done previous crew figures in a same way to you, but this time I tried a different method.

I airbrushed them flat black & then used shades of Paynes Grey oil paint by drybrushing. Because that can cause a slightly rough look, after each shade I lightly dabbled the figure with a brush just moistened with thinner.

That seemed to blend in the colour, so the effect becomes more subtle.

Excellent work with the fine details. How did You achieve the collar piping?
