    First lit enterprise.

This is the first kit I have ever built and put lights in. I am open to all comments. It's taken nearly twelve months but has lots of features. Custom shuttlebay with lights. Tenacontrols provided the circuit board for the phaser array, on the saucer and the circuit for the bussard affect. It has info usual circuits for: internal lights, photon torpedoes, deflector dish, warp and impulse engines, spotlight. And finally nav lights. I've mounted it on a custom made box bearing the dedication plaque for this Enterprise and taken a circuit board from the 98 playmates enterprise from insurrection so when activated there is a separate function for warp sound and additional lights and affect. In total 3542 individual windows hand drilled. 64 led bulbs, 2 blue led ribbons, and countless hours of work. 2 sets of acreation Aztecs, 2 conversion kits, 2 amt kits, 2 photo etch kits. I had more than a few issues with this build but I am pretty happy with the results. I am open to all your comments.

Could I ask which kit this is, I only ask as the saucer section appears uneven almost rough on the surface, is it the moulding on the plastic? I like the lighting controls, I've pondering buying a set for a Seaview I have, were the instructions clear to follow?
I reckon that base gives it the finishing touch much better than the usual plastic stands.

The base emits blue light from the bottom and is big enough to surround the ship, a little cushion of protecton. The model is AMT's 1:1400. The fist paint job on it was really smooth, I thought I'd be clever rather than wait for a new air gun to hand paint it as the Aztec decals were a pink colour on a white ship... it looked terrible. So I coated it in the grey it now is but made a real mess of it so stripped it all off and started again the end result is damage I've eventually caused to the plastic. However the saucer is fine it looks off because the nacelles are inverted rather than square, another problem I had. I did too much stuff with a very small model. I will revisit this and correct a lot of things, but it took 11 months, so it's gonna be a while before I do.

The controls are just simple push switches for the lights, 1 rocker switch for main power and 2 momentary switches for the phaser and warp effects( both have sounds) i bought them from maplin. Cheap and easy to use. There wadnt really any instructions but they are simple to use.
