    What's on the Bench 2025

New Year, time for a new 'What's on the bench' thread. The place to post what you're working on. Could one of those kind gentlemen, the moderators, close last years thread please.

Well the V3000 S has progressed, and is ready for paint.

It will now languish on the paint bench until the FW 190 is ready for paint…..it will get primed with the aircraft…..

I'm working on another Warhammer piece, a Valkyrie. Rather than painting it in regular chapter colours I'm going for a 'what if' pixel camo scheme.

Very slow & painstaking, but it's coming along.

I've managed to misplace the windscreen, but this has been fun to build ICM Chernobyl Fire Engine. A good well fitting kit but very delicate. I've lost count of how many ham hand repairs I've had to make Click image for larger version

Thanks Paul, the vinyl tyres are horrendous, but otherwise I'm quite happy. The windscreen will turn up at some point!

I'm building another Belkits rally car at the moment. This time a Skoda Fabia. Decals are included for the green and black areas but you know me, I've had a go at painting them.

Great paint job Andy. Painted markings always look better than decals.

          Thanks guys.

I'm finding the white to be very easily marked, so may add a thin coat of gloss before the decals.

I am now affraid to use any decal solutions to bed them into the "woodgrain" 14 decals on this one part! The name was one decal, cut that in two, as I did with the telephone number. So I could say 16 decals!
More later if I (or it) survives! lol

Primer and preshade with NATO black now on. Next is top colour and highlighting. I haven’t bothered pre shading the chassis. By the time it gets paint and dust there would be nothing left to see.

My current build is reworking a OO gauge model railway, originally built many years ago, used as a 'branch line' on my nephew's model railway, but dismantled when my parents moved house, it was in their loft. A bit of work done to make it fit in my model room & lay some new track, but retaining most of the original. The first photo is just as it had been made to fit it's new home, the second after a bit of scenery had been built.
