No Polux. On April 1st it is traditional to play some kind of joke on people. Famously the very serious and reputable BBC documentary news series 'Panorama' once broadcast an item about the spaghetti harvest in Switzerland. Being such a serious show, and being the BBC in 1957, many people fell for the joke, believing that spaghetti really did grow on trees

Like all the very best 'April Fool' jokes it appears to be meticulously researched and entirely plausible...it just never happened
