    Removing graphics from Diecast models

Can anybody recommend a brand/type of nail varnish remover suitable for removing graphics from Oxford Diecast models? The brand i use for EFE/Corgi models tend to remove the paint as well.

Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

    Regards Mick.

Have you tried T cut? I use it to remove printed graphics from model railway locomotives. A dab on a cotton bud is best with gentle rubbing so as not to go throught the base colour to bare metal. I sometimes mask to protect the surrounding area. You are left with a shiny spot where the graphic was so a touch up with varnish will be needed to blend everything back together.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

If they are regular waterslide decals you might have luck with a decal solvant such as microSol.

House hold vinegar might work as well.
