    Cutaway kits....

    Hi all.

Today I was looking my FT 1/16. A nice kit with detailed interiors, and I tought about it....

The actual manufacturers are starting to produce different kits, in different scales as well, with interiors...

Anyway these kits doesn't give to you the opportunity to show those interiors!!

Look the Trumpeter 1/16 P.IV, Takom FT 1/16, Typhoon 1/24, new MENG kits....and others.

Why the manufacturers don't give you an opened hull, a cutaway version to show them?

There isn't any aftermarket stuff as well

Maybe the reason is the price?

I don't think so!! If you whaste 90£ or more, 2 or 3£ for this option is....nothing?

I will pay a fortune on a model than after built, I have to invent all kind of experiments to show the interiors...? O_o

    Which is your opinion guys?!

    Regards

Personally I'd like to see it. The manufacturer could scribe potential access panels on the inside of the hull or turret for the model maker to open if they so desire.

I was about to say you would see the lines but inside would work. Good suggestion. You can always do your own though and decide just how you want to do it.

      Freeeeeddoooooommmmm.

Well I'm wondering if I could do it with my 1/16 T34. Its got a lot of interior details, but with my shaky hands I'd probably mess it up!

I'm sure you would manage, some nice pen marks to get the areas marked our properly and then get the saw out! Stay away from the dreaded dremell lol
