    Rivet tool needed

Hi guys another quick one, I need to get a rivet tool (wheel type) in before I start the next build. I've seen john has the trumpeter and the rivet-r mini which looks like it might be better suited to smaller models.

I work in 1/48, would love your guys opinions and recommendations please.

    Cheers

Phil I use the Trumpeter and have had good results.. All my work is 1/48.

A bit of advice. Practice a lot. I use Dymo tape as a guide. Also if you need to deepen the rivet holes keep the tool on the plastic and roll the tool in reverse.

Phil in the dark ages the tape was put in a Dyno machine. The tape threaded thro. A dial on the top with alphabet and numbers. Turn for number or letter. Pull trigger and the letter was impressed on the tape.

The tape is thickish and makes a nice edge for panel lines and rivet making.

I once hath used the magical device known as dymo, but didn't realise that was the tape you meant. Just placed an order for trumpy riveter and bare metal foil from John.

Laurie to the rescue again. Just when you think no one is watching he always has some good or excellent advice.

Dougie you have just depleted my bank reserves. I have just had to order a larger hat

Thanks Dougie but I am only one of many giving out advice. I would be floundering if it was not for the info. advice received here. Also being retired so I do not have as many other commitments knocking at the door.

lol, I hope my head doesn't get any bigger, there is very little hair left on the thick skull that is there already. I can't imagine it managing to get thinner!
