ive been after some Klear, or as its called now Pledge floor wax.
Finally got some, and decided to dunk the cockpit glass on the blackhawk, thinking, 'Yes, finally ill get some decent looking glass!'
Errr...wft happened? Has this stuff changed or something? I imagined the fluid to be clear, but this is tan brown, but hey, i tried it anyway.
Got a nice container set up witn wire to hang the plastics off, and begun dipping the glass parts.
So far so good, as they came out the klear they looked pretty good.
Hung each one in the container, and covered to prevent any dust.
Next morning i pull them out and theyre dry, but absolutely shitty looking! The wax has dried, but marked the plastic and looked horrid!
I tried polishing it but no good, simply rubbish. The fingerprint on the main windsheild was where i held it so tight trying to polish it!
Luckily, i managed to save each one using IPA and rubbing them clean.
So whats up with this stuff? It seems it would be ok to airbrush as a sealer between weathering and washes, but its. Ot working on canopies.
