Got this the other day:
Nice instructions
Another nice touch - pegs and rubber bands for clamps supplied with the kit
A tiled floor with the joints engraved into the surface
Timber framing with textured wood effects
based on how much I enjoyed this one:
I'm still waiting for figures to go with that, but they're on the way so hopefully not too long.
In the meantime, the pub comes ready painted and only needs to be assembled. There are several reviews - including a very long full build by Theterraintutor - on youtube.
The only thing I'm not happy about is the fact you can see the attachment points for the roof through the roof tiles. I'd like to cover these somehow and I reckon the easiest way would be to use some pre-painted sets of card roof tiles (All right! I know they're not impossible to make for yourself Ron, but I don't have your skills with a paintbrush, and I don't want to spoil a hundred-quid kit for the sake of a few extra pennies) and just cover the entire roof.
The building is designed around 28mm figures and is quoted as being 1/56 scale. I know 4ground do laser cut roof tiles but that would cost a fortune. Does anyone know where I might get the card ones from?
I suspect the model railway guys will know who makes them, and I'd be quite happy to accept O gauge which I think is 1/48.
