The shop here has great deals. Don't know any postage charges but the same kit (see link) much cheaper than hobbycraft

Other place is eBay but again postage is a sticky spot.... Imho buy from where your expecting to ask help from.... No one on eBay will offer the same help as here so unless your saving a fair amount or going somewhere in person this shop seems a good bet

Ask john (the owner of the site and shop)before going elsewhere if he can equal the price he will but often he can beat it, even if you dont see what you want ask john, if he can get it he will(he's helped me out on numerous occasions)

That looks like a good start Paul.......... Welcome to the forum. This is probably the the friendliest place on the net....... anything you need to know just ask. There's always someone with an answer....... Mostly several answers....... none of the answers will be the same...... and some of them (mostly mine) will be complete bollix...... Enjoy your stay.

Hi and welcome to the forum Paul I don't know much about making cars, but maybe a larger scale give you more space to try out different paint techniques (should you need it ). You made a good choice to join the forum, as your questions will most likely be answered within a couple of hours- good time to let the paint dry :P

Welcome Paul! Getting back into modelling was one of the best things I have done in a long time.

After a 25 year hiatus myself I have discovered that there are a lot of new things out there to make modelling easier and more enjoyable on many levels.

Hi Paul, welcome to the best forums around mate. I think most of us returned to the hobby later on in life, just like yourself, so make yourself at home.

Personally if I was you I'd get one of the airfix starter kits, something simple, mebbe a plane even if its not what you want to concentrate on in the future, but it does give you the chance to practise and hone your skills.

                  Cheers Andrew
