General Undrsides of the Imperial Japanese Navt and Rising sun colour

    Hi guys and gals

it's been a while since posting and I been slowly concentrating on the models I have in my stash. Any ways I'm doing a rather nice kit at the moment of the Hasegawa 1/48 Mitsubishi Zero. I'm not too sure on the underside Naval colour and reference mainly from other model kits looks either white gray or green white gray. I'm hoping the XF 55 plus a dab of white XF2 may make this colour more acceptable. Thoughts and suggestions on this welcome

Also I'm looking to make my own stencil for the rising sun but am unfamiliar with the exact red. Suggestions please

the depicted Aircraft was from Saipan 1944 so I will be giving  her a heavy weather and chip effect.

something I started a while ago but just never got round to compleating.

    Advice and comments welcome

Sorry forgot to post pics of yet unfinished, as you can see I was trying to get some differant shading of the grey underside but looks to me too grey.

    thoughts and comments welcome

    thanks
