    Trumpeter Rivet tool?

    Hiya,
I've got a Trumpeter Rivet tool and was wondering if anyone knows which scales are which on the lettered wheels? There are four wheels lettered A,B,C and D but no indication which scales they are.
    Thanks

I've got one of those although I'm not able to get hold of it this moment as I'm at work but if I remember the scaling it goes 1/12 for every 1 inch is the eqivilent of 12 inches 1/24 is 24 inches 1/32 is 32 inches 1/48 is 48 inches and 1/72 is 72 inches ie 6ft so now get the least no of teeth wheel and roll along a piece of paper then mark off a 1 inch section and count the no of rivit marks if the wheel was 1/32 then I would expect there to be 15 or 16 if its less then 1/24 or if it's only a few then 1/12 see how that goes I will try it myself tonight when I get home

    Regards

    Colin

I'd have thought the closer the teeth are the smaller the scale.

Yes you are correct so if there are more teeth then the smaller the scale it's what scale does it represent I shall post my findings shortly

Here are my results note this is for the trumpeter rivet wheel only others may be different
Wheel A 60 to the inch which for aircraft is sufficent for 1/72
Wheel B 32 so that to me would indicate 1/32
Wheel C 48 so again that equates to 1/48
          Wheel D 24 1/24 anybody

That's allowing 1 rivet per inch in the real world size

          Regards
