    Optivisor

Just tried my Optivisor and very very impressed indeed.
I chose the X2 magnification and the focal length for me is perfect. They really are comfortable to wear and certainly not obtrusive during use.
Before, I used an illuminated magnifier but kept banging my head and paint brush handle on it due to having to work so close in order to focus.
I really would recommend the Donegan Optivisor.
    Cheers Alan

Same for me - I started using one a few weeks ago and it's been wonderful. I got the AL model which comes with 4 different magnifier inserts, but just use the 2x (10 inch focal length) for normal modelling, and the 1.75x (14 inch focal length) for airbrushing.

They look a bit daft, so the only people I will allow to see me wearing it are my wife (she knows I'm daft), the local modelling club, and the grandkids, who are young enough to think it's really cool.

Starting to think I should invest in one too. I've tried out a friend's who uses his for watch repairs and I was well impressed with the magnification and ease of use. I have a pair of 'over the specs' magnifiers which are pretty good but not as effective as the Optivisor. Any info on who does the best deal on price?
        Thanks

I have used one for many a year now and sourced my original one from the usa before they were available in the uk.

Upgraded to the full package a few years ago which had the light, complete lense set in a hand gun carry case of all things. I bought that via Shesto ltd but just checked and its no longer supplied in that format.

While not the official brand this item number on ebay might interest you
