I have ordered a set and I will let you know what I think.

It seems they have been around a while and for those like me who cannot get on with the fabric sets and is disappointed with the p.e. options they may be the solution.

No, but they do look good Barry. I think the difficult part would be the shaping to the seat, too much heat and there done for.

My order is on the way from Japan so it might be a while before I report back.

According to this review you dont need to apply heat. https://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/ger...t-seatbelt-set

That is contradicted by the first post in this thread:http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/in...howtopic=40953
But then read the third post by the same person who drops the idea of heat and makes what looks like a good suggestion more in line with the review. It is quite interesting reading through that thread.

Nice one Barry you'll have to let us know what there like when you get them. If there any good, and by all accounts they are it could be something John in the shop could get.

Not used them barry but ive seen these before , i always thought that they would be tricky to bend unless like people say a bit of hot water might soften them up enough to mould to shape? Theyre certainly beautifully detailed but coming from fine molds i wouldnt expect anything else. Youll have to let us know if you try them , cheers tony

              Instructions on the box

My first use will be on my next build for which I will need the USAAF set. I will post how I get on with them then.

I have used them for the first time, my conclusion:

A lot easier than the fabric belts, dont look quite as good but are a lot more practical, look far better than anything else and far, far better than p.e.

All in all I consider these to be the best available option.

I cemented the seatbelts into position before any painting using poly cement and painted them and the seatbelt in-situ, the belts are buff with a brown enamel wash, silver buckles.

Next time I will try another method that involves painting them before attaching.

                      Recommended.

                        Barry .Hi .
They look very good , I was under the impression that wingy builders used folded tape an pe buckles. No doubt have tried that .
