    Fabric flags question.

Im going to use a AMP fabric flag on one of my modals, how can I make it look furled or flapping?

Looking at AMP’s web site, these are printed double-sided, aren’t they? If the flag consisted of two single-sided ones you had to glue together, putting a piece of metal foil between them would work. With a double-sided flag, I suppose you’ll have to impregnate it with a substance that will set hard, like glue or starch or something, and work in the folds while it sets.

Better try it with offcuts first, to see if that actually works, though.

....For flapping, and it being fabric, you could well get away with just crumpling it up dry. If not, just slightly dampen the flag with a little well watered down PVA. Gently roll the flag up then open it out to the required shape. 'Bend' the flag around a cocktail stick or similar to avoid any creases. To furl it, once you have rigged the flag to a lanyard , just tie a suitable length of cotton or similar around the whole thing.
