Just an update. I decided to get the Revell 1/32 Tornado after all, bought via John, excellent service as ever.

It is a Gulf War rendition of a 20 year old tooling delivered to my office today. Taking a quick look it seems better than I usually would expect from Revell. Molds seem cleaner than usual from them, detail OK, instructions better than the awful ones they previously produced and some nice markings. I will give some thought to aftermarket to kick it up a bit.

I was I a bit of a rush when I posted above and I think now is a good time for a round-up of what I am planning.

The Raiden I will leave until MRP release their IJA/IJN colours that I know they have been working on.

I am now thinking that the Kitty Hawk Bronco be my next build.

Then on to the fast jets

      Trumpeter F/A 18E
      Revell Tornado
      Kitty Hawk F5 Tiger

I am eagerly awaiting the HKM F4 Phantom

I want to build a F15 but none of the 1/32 kits I have found appeal to me. So that is still under consideration. Likewise for the F14.

I would love a Buccaneer and just hope someone releases one in 1/32.

Other than those I have no pressing ‘wants’ and by the time I have dealt with those I expect to be adding some new WW2 releases to the stash but if not then a Harrier, F16 or Flanker May find it way into the stash.

My future projects are quite fluid. But i do have a path i would like to follow. If i could find a video on how to actually use Montex masks (other than the cartoon type vid) then it would open up a whole host of Fw190 builds i have planned

But for the time being it is consisting of nightfighter builds and a special build

Likewise Alan , my future projects are always changing ! I decide on what im going to do next from the stash , then i might see a video of a different aircraft ,see one flying or read about one and it all changes ! A couple if years ago I started a ‘ century series jets ‘ build , got the first two done then got sidetracked ( plus the f-102 i had planned for the third wasnt quite right -wrong decals for the case XX wing in the kit) . I suppose my problem is im very eclectic in my choice of subject and scale , i DO have a favoured subject ( soviet aircraft) but it doesnt stop me going off on a tangent as theres so much else i like. I guess im just too easily distracte.... ooh look a pigeon

(That’s a 1/32 scale B-52D with its builder, Lewis Pruneau, from the May 1991 issue of FineScale Modeler magazine.)
