I use the TET and the Revel Contacta Expert as well Dave. They both suit whatever I am doing. Glues have come such a long way since my last modelling in the 60s

On the model - very little indeed. The minimum required for the job. :smiling:

On my trousers, the cutting mat, the carpet, the bench, my fingers - gallons of the b****y stuff!!

I would agree with Jim, I used to keep CA in the fridge when I was building a lot of RC model aircraft, it's too expensive to waste.

CA in the fridge not heard of that one.

I bought a set DIY superglue a while ago and the activator was in an oversized felt tip. That means you just touch the piece you are gluing to it and so don't waste huge amounts of aerosol. Link below.

Whilst we're talking glue, I'm getting confused, can someone tell me what deluxe products roket max is, is it ca, superglue or something else.

So its super glue or as I've heard crazy glue, applies to me anyhow.

All I know is that I bought some last year, went to use it a few months later and it had gone hard in the bottle. I don't know if I had an old bottle or if it has a short shelf life.

Know this is a oldie thread but on another forum a very similar question has been asked. Many of the posts say they do use a fair bit of glue but the paint hides the excess???

Cannot agree, am i right to agree!!

No you are not Bob. The only glue that sticks the parts is that found between them. Anything else just wrecks the surface and appearance. You canโ€™t hide it with paint! If I end up with excess glue outside the joint I let it set hard then scrape it down to get rid of it.
