Limited-edition kits aren’t really a thing in military vehicles, as far as I know. No idea about other areas of modelling, though.
Does anybody practise mothballing kits?

I realise that many here are pressed with time or are getting on with age that mothballing wouldn't quite fit and prefer the start to finish within a stipulated timeframe. This however works if you are an experienced modeler and frustration sets in if you're not when looking for a quick fix. That's where the forum comes in to help with any questions. Anyway the point is to enjoy the hobby depending on how much effort and skill you put in. The tolerance level is obviously set to a minimum for the time deprived so a quality kit is expected at every opening of a new box in this age.
I do try a start to finish for some kits and they are the lucky good few choices from the stash raffle. :smiling2: I do like a challenge now and then but for kits in a dio it's the outer shell that's needed so the faster it gets done the quicker I get to the dio.
Cheers,
