After I’d bought a second RP Toolz punch and die set a few months ago, I needed a more convenient way to store the punches than in the box and bag they came in. My initial plan was to drill holes into a block of wood, but I couldn’t find a suitable one and didn’t have a good place in my hobby room to put it. This afternoon I hit upon the idea of using PVC pipe instead, so with help from my father and his shed full of tools, we knocked up a wall-mounted holder for 22 punches and two hammers:

That’s 22 lengths of PVC pipe, 2.5 cm long with an outer diameter of about 15 mm, glued together into strips of five and six that I then glued together staggered so they slope rather than lie horizontally, with a back plate made from a big, square-section PVC tube. Everything is now within easy reach
