    Which vehicle next?

So I’ve just finished my Heinkel he-111 and fancy something slightly
Different for next build. I’ve got two cars to build, the lotus esprit 1976or a 1912 Mercer race about. Both quite different cars but equally interesting.
Ant decide which I should do next.
    What do you think?

Personally I would go for the Mercer, lots more character than the Lotus.

The mercer is pretty cool. There’s actually not too many parts to this one but I think the main challenge will be painting it.

          The Mercer gets my vote.

Yeah, the quality does look dubious compared to the fugimi lotus kit.
Still, I’m always up for the challenge.

Anyone could make the Lotus, but the Mercer will be more of a challenge - I'd say go vintage!

                  Hi Carl
A nice, well detailed, well fitting kit = Lotus
                  The opposite = Mercer

What is your current mogllin mood? :rolling:

                  Either would be fun.

It’s looking like the Mercer. I’ve managed to find a video on YouTube of the actual car so that should help with painting as the instructions are pretty useless. As you can see there are not many pieces so won’t take long to fit together assuming they fit of course.

So I put the 16 parts together. A truly awful fitting model even with so few parts. My hand painting isn’t so good so I’ve just done the best I could of a bad job. At a distance it looks ok long as I don’t look at the poor detail close up. Anyway, my finished efforts below. At least it was only £10.
                      Carl

Next model a JU52/3mg4e transport in 1:48. Should be interesting with the corrugated body panels.

Looks good Carl, liking the wood effect on the dashboard.

Thanks for the comments. The wood effect is something I tried a few times originally on propellers and seems to work reasonably well. Basically get the colour roughly want you want and paint then use a dry brush after to add grain effect.
