Quick question (sorry for creating a whole thread about it).

So, using regular Revell polycement I’ve glued the top of my wings to the bottom of the wings and taped it up.
Glued both fuselage halves together and taped them up.
How long would you wait before taking the tape off?

I’m not sure whether or not to leave it until tomorrow or if it would be okay to do after an hour or so (praying for no fit issues with this one).

What kind of tape did you use? I would have used clamps tape can be a nightmare. If you used painters tape That peels off easy you should be ok till tomorrow if not I would get it off as soon as I thought my wings were dry

Using Tamiya tape, never had any issues with it in the past. My question was more about how long should it take to set.

I really should just leave it until tomorrow, I’m not going to do any more of it tonight but I’m like a kid and just want to see what it looks like and if there are any fit issues (which would be best left until tomorrow anyway).

        Hi Drew
Leave until tomorrow. Glue takes longer than you think to fully set. You could take off the tape tonight and it may all look good but if the glue isn't fully hard come tomorrow the spring in the plastic could open the join.

Yes I would definitely leave it till tomorrow drew just to be sure . Was it the tube cement or the contacta with the needle applicator? They dry at different rates but both would benefit from leaving overnight for the best strength joint.

It’s the needle one, I always squidge too much out of the other ones!

Okay, general consensus is leave it until tomorrow so it’s getting left until tomorrow.
            Thanks guys.
