Here's my Bergepanzer III , with a fictional Miniart 3-ton service crane retro-fitted. No idea if this was actually ever done in reality. But hey, why not ? Werkstatt Companies had to be resourceful after all... Still some bolt detail to do and I'll make a couple of ragged Milliput tarps to be strewn about the rear deck & box sides, etc...Comment

I have seen makeshift "Berges" on tracked vehicles in my meanderings on the web.......don't recall if they were on the lll or lV chassis though....also seen them on just about any wheeled vehicle you can imagine.
The Krauts were very creative in their efforts to keep the war machines moving.

Paul, hmmm! Adding some teeth to one of those sounds like a tasty endeavor. I'd thought of adding a big recovery spade at the back of mine. But the stash kit I would have nicked it from (Berge-Hetzer)was already missing that sprue sadly.Comment

Not so much what's on it, but where it is.
I've been using the spare room but people keep visiting so I tidied up a corner of the barn.....
