I would also like to meet the 8 year old who could assemble this because I would ask him to do my tax returns for me. Definitely needs some modelling skill, particularly where the curved bits are concerned. Also for my "You can never apply too much glue" school of modelling the tube the kit contains is definitely too small. First photo is the example "sprue" shot and the others show my finished effort, the Tet bottle is just to show size, apparently it is 1/64th.

                  Hi Andy
I built one of the Heralds a few years ago, loads of flash and needed some fettling but turned out OK.
Its sat in a car park with a T34/85 blocking it in!
Sadly a shelf Queen waiting for a 2nd chance

                  For reference purposes only

I am sure you will enjoy the build, I did and the MG and VW too

                  Regards

                  Steve H

                    Hi Steve,
Firstly, nice to see you back around mate,
Thanks for that, yes indeed, there's quite a bit of flash, but not too much of an ordeal ,
That set up of yours looks great, and very time consuming.... How much time have you put into it already?!

Never been too far away Andy, just retirement doesn't seem to involve any hobby time yet!

I started it as a GB in 2018, on another forum, probably 3 months of hobby time, but just ran out of time, its got a bit further and has a dozen figures too.

The VK4502 (p) is for a GB finishing on 311221, which I might just make, then I shall try to get back into figure painting over the winter.

You might even see it back here on Whats on the Bench in 2022

Enjoy the Herald, the Airfix 1/32 cars are good fun to build even more so if they are a reasonable price

                            Regards

Rick sent me this to test my patience I think. You can see the huge mounting blocks. He knows I couldn't just look at it w/o touching it. A 1/87 Trident resin offering of a modern 155. 2 1/2 hrs later, this is where I've left it. Parts cleaned up ready to assemble. Looks like I can't easily make it a towed pc. so will set it aside until an opportunity presents itself.
