Love it Rick, thought they could be grenade fishing and looking to what's been stunned :smiling3::smiling3: ! Joking apart think the definition with the uniforms and kit is great, can't be easy in that scale.:thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:

Thank you Tim.....I think I'm beginning to get a handle on this fig. painting thing and I really appreciate the way you took time to walk me through it with your tutorial during the Renault U23 build. Just figuring out that wet pallet kit was a challenge. Tip 'O the Hat to you! :thumb2: Rick H.

Hi JR......never thought of that! The "boys" do look a little hungry don't they? You are right....not easy but I'm beginning to enjoy it more and that's a good thing.......I must have close to 500 figs. in various Services to build and paint up so I need to be enjoying myself while doing it. Now that I think about it, the real PITA is building them.....most of them come in 4 or 5 pieces and require careful scraping of the "seam lines".......that's where Tim's suggestion of a black wash after priming to bring out "definition helps a lot....then I can actually see the little buggers! Thanks for stopping by. :thumb2: Rick H.

No probs Rick. The wet palette is a bit of a game changer isn’t it….and the liquid talent that is flesh wash makes things so much easier in the small scales. The secret is to actually use quite a lot and just blob it on. If you do the flesh first it is then easy to cut it back to size with the subsequent clothing paints.

The fuselage is not yet fully glued but the fit is good. Wings are glued but the upper air intakes (I think are those for the carburetor) have a bad fit and will need some putty. Unfortunately the spar that should sustain the wings is not very strong and I'm evaluating the opportunity to reinforce it as the wings, when completed, should be heavy.
Finally, the seat belts are from a 1:48 Tamyia Spitfire. I scanned the PE, printed it on paper, reinforced with masking tape and hand-painted with coloured pencils; not really a good solution from an historical point of view, but I think that with the closed canopy they will do their job.

Excellent example of proper CITB. Do I spy w/my little eye a Panther road wheel? Bucket'o'bricks will come in handy for cook fires.

Had to look twice at the bucket with the dirty "mess" tins in it...........thought they was Oyster shells! That whole mess is just plain outstanding Mr. Jones.....so much to take in and it truly does look "Crappy"!!

Oooh crap...everything but the kitchen sink. :smiling2:. Suitably packed and painted Steve. Nice crap. :tears-of-joy:
The door and stuff in the pail takes the cake man.

                        Cheers,

And now for something completely different......
My nephew was given a Lego Technic Land Rover Defender by my brothers boss, they run a Land Rover garage.
So I've been roped to help him, more parts than you can shake a stick at, lots of moving parts, we may be at it for some time!

I was really happy with these...struggling with figures more often than not and then I took a photo, and zoomed in . Feels like I may as well give a small child a selection of poster paints. The three maybe four on the left are alright...need pupils still but the faces on the right look awful! Don’t worry too much, models always look worse in close-up photographs
