1930 Bentley blower Mods mods and more mods.

Well after building Pochers for the last 30 yrs . I have decided to build the Bentley 1/12 scale Airfix , Opended the kit and relised the Wire wheels supplied just will not do. so I orderd wired wheels from a guy in Portugal . also the simulated grill mesh is going too I orderd SS mesh. also the custom Gas tank as well. Been looking at as many real car pixs as I can seems they are all different is some way. I Need feedback on the doors . Has anyone made them operable? Regards Mark

Mark, I would suggest you look on the Unobtainium website.
A guy named Nick in North Wales UK is developing some nice 3D printed stuff for the Airfix Bentley you might well be interested in.

That is because they are. The chassis was ordered from Bentley so you got the engine and the running gear. Then it was off to the coach builders and have a (note the use of a) body built onto it. After your own wishes/design..

I had a good look around this 1947 model recently, the owner has just finished a 2 year rebuild - as Ian says your choice of body! Not seen this type before, apparently constructed from Ash and Aluminium, covered with leather(ette?) Click image for larger version

Those wheels look superb. A great improvement over what the kit provides

Mind you, I'd love to get a 1/48 version if you know of anyone who makes those?! ...

Are you going to start a build thread for this?

I have been posting some pixs as I go along .After building Pochers for so long and buying Mods I just cannot help myself moding the Bentley. so far I have spent about 500.00 US on mods and paint over the cost of the Model.

It would be preferred that you started a build thread in the Civilian cars under construction instead of just posting PICTURES in random posts.
